A Key For Me - Host Provider

A Key for Me is the Self Directed community of Inclusion Plus Family Support Inc.

In 2006, a group of families set themselves up as A Key For Me to self-direct. They are working together, constantly reviewing and refining their ideas to maintain a successful model.

We are inviting like minded individuals and their families to become members of and grow this self-directed community with us.

A Key For Me is more than just self direction.

Everyone wants to be in control of their lives, not just to survive, but to thrive! It’s really hard to do that on your own. We see our self-direction model as a way of getting there.

We provide a framework which our Coordinator will walk you through. The framework explores all aspects of self-direction, highlighting options you may want to consider. From these discussions we assist you to create your self-direction plan.

The Key to our success to date has been the availability of support from other members of the Key For Me community to assist you as you work through the development of your own unique plan.

The Coordinator will be available to assist you to implement and maintain your plan.

The Key For Me community is a real and practical group with an elected Steering Committee that has an expectation that all members will participate by meeting at least half yearly.

Our Key For Me Community consists of individuals with a disability, “Keyholders”, their families, their friends, their paid supporters and any members of the wider community who wish to play a part in their lives.
